Case By Case Review

Picture
Each story is real and is tremendously disturbing.  Six women, all can tell similar stories about how they were convicted of killing their  paramour or children. All claimed to be in what seemingly was a hopeless situation.  They  acted out of fear from repeatedly being battered believing that  there was no way out of their abusive relationship.  All shot and killed their abuser.  Despite the misconceptions and myths about women not leaving the relationships before they are brutalized or  killed, that is not the solution for most women according to (Browne, 1986).  The intimidation, threats, and violence these women endured lasted many years to the point they felt that only death of the abuser would end their abuse.
