The Objective

Picture

The issue that we are researching is women who kill and what factors  have caused this event to occur.  The majority of these women  committed these acts in self defense after being abused for years by  their husbands.  The major problem with these events is that it is difficult to determine if the woman was  actually a victim of abuse. It is believed that some women were not victims and have simply used this as a way to get away with murder.  In doing this we are now faced with a difficulty believing some women who were victims of abuse. These acts of violence are often unreported and this has lead many  to say "Why didn't she just leave or say something if she was really  being abused?" Our society, at large, does not understand the  mindset and problems of an abused woman.  In an effort to better understand these crimes, We believe that we can find solutions to ensure that these murders never have to occur in the first place.
